The trek to Jomsom is the classic tea house trek. You will share trail with trains of donkeys and ponies travelling to Mustang and other areas in the far north of Nepal. Other attractions include typical Mustang villages such as tukuche, Marpha and medieval Jharkot.

  1. Day 01 Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1300m) You will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment.

  2. Day 02 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation Kathmandu city sightseeing (1315m) Today we explore the Kathmandu valley.SWOYAMBBHUNATH: Climb the many steps to Swayambhunath (the monkey temple) with its commanding views of Kathmandu, its whitewashed stupas and its unique synthesis of Buddhism and Hinduism. PASHUPATINATH: It’s a sacred temple complex on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Here, monkeys run up and down the steps of the burning ghats, and trident-bearing saddhus draped in burnt-orange and yellow sit serenely meditating - when they are not posing for photos for rupees. BOUDHANATH: The striking Buddha eyes of Boudhanath Stupa watch over a lively and colorful Tibetan community and attract pilgrimsb from all over the Himalayan Buddhist realm. In the midst of traditional gompas, and hung with long strings of multi-colored prayer flags, Boudhanath attracts Sherpas, Tibetans and tourists alike for daily circumambulations (koras) of the stupa. KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE: Durbar Square, one of the old capitals of the Kathmandu valley, is a synthesis of Hindu and Buddhist temples, stupas and statues, and is often the site of festivals, marriages and other ceremonies.

  3. Day 03 Kathmandu to Pokhara flight 25 min. /drive 6-7 hrs. Start your travel early in the morning at 7:00 am; we will arrange ticket in tourist coach at river side seat to enjoy the scenery; the road follows by Trisuli River where you see many people rafting on the river. Around 6/7 hours (200km) drive we reach Pokhara (a city of Lake, literally); or 30 min. fly to Pokhara as per departure time. A city that offers us the magnificent view of various mountains namely Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchre and other mountain of Annapurna range. You have good chance to do some last minute shopping and self-exploration around the town (walk around few lake, boating etc.). (Overnight at hotel on BB basis)

  4. Day 04 Drive to Nayapul 1 hour & trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m) 3-4 hrs Today, we take a short drive to Nayapul which is the beginning part of the trek. After short preparation of the luggage for the porters and prepare yourself the trail leads easy walk towards Birethanti along the River. A short check in formalities takes place at the ACAP office and the trail leads you towards BhurundiKhola along with the great scenery passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Tikhedhunga.   5. Day 05 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (3194m) 5-6 hrs.

    After breakfast in the morning we prepare for the long uphill to Ulleri which has 3200 stone steeps which has amazing landscape with the valley and short range of Annapurna. This scenery gives you inner power to climb up these steps and immerse you to walk more. After a short walk from Ulleri the trail leads you through the forest of rhododendron which is national flower of Nepal. Then the trail continues leads uphill to Ghorepani which is on the top of the hill have excellent views of entire Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

  6. Day 06 Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tatopani (1190m) 6-7 hrs.

    Wake up at early morning as per sunrise time and an hour walk to Poon Hill for Sunrise view and Mountain View. After having photograph from Poon Hill, drop down to the lodge at Ghorepani and trek down to Totapani after breakfast. At the beginning pretty steep downhill to Chitre then very gentle descent to Ghara village where you may stop for lunch. Then short step down to the bottom of the hill to cross the bridge over Kali Gandaki River to get in to Tatopani where you will enjoy at the natural hot springs.   7. Day 07 Trek Tatopani to Ghasa (2010m) 5-6 hrs.

    After breakfast at the lodge your walk begins through the bank of the river to Dana which is the deepest George in the world between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain. After crossing suspension bridge at Dana you will get in to RupseChahara (Water fall) which is the biggest water fall of this route. Then the trail leads towards to Ghasa.   8. Day 08 Trek Ghasa to Marpha (3500m) 5-6 hrs.

    The trail continues leads gentle up to the Kalopani which has awesome views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ice fall. It is an easy walk through the bank of the River to cross suspension bridge to get in to Tukuche which is popular Thakali village. Tukuche. After short climb you will reach at Marpha which is probably the most beautiful village of the route has interesting village settlement and apple garden. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

  9. Day 09 Trek Marpha to Kegbeni (2800m) 5-6 hrs.

    The trial to Kagbeni is an easy, flat and also windy. In this case we will be starting early morning to cross the Jomsom valley before the wind blows violently. It is an easy day walking through the bank of the river to get to Kegbeni. Visit Red Gompa at leisure evening and walk around the little alleys of the town. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

  10. Day 10 Trek Kegbeni to Muktinath (3760m) 4-5 hrs.

    At the beginning part of the day, steep climbing to the ridge and easy walk to Jharkot. Then the trail climbs up Muktinath which is the most famous religious place of Hindu as well as Buddhist. After short rest at the lodge, walk up to the temple area to explore holy temple and Gompas. It is an excellent place to explore. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

  11. Day 11 Trek Muktinath to Jomsom (2750m) 4-5 hrs.

    Today is very easy walk to Jomsom but a bit hard to walk against the wind. So this day is highly suggested to wear sun glass to protect your eyes. Stop at Jomsom for overnight to catch flight to Pokhara next day. (Overnight at tea house on full board basis)

  12. Day 12 Fly Jomsom to Pokhara 40 min. and fly to Kathmandu (1300m) 40 min or Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist coach. This morning we fly back to Pokhara. This flight is a Trans Himalayan flight- approx of 25 minutes. Once you arrive in Pokhara we can manage your flight to Kathmandu right away or we can manage your flight to Kathmandu at evening so that you can explore Pokhara valley during the day! Remember, we will be hosting a fantastic celebration “Farewell dinner” at traditional Nepalese restaurant.

  13. Day 13 Farewell Friend (Final departure to your onward destination) Today is last day in Nepal for this trip; you are saying good bye to the mountains as journey in Nepal, comes to an end today, There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize the photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing.
